Muğla Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MUTSO) focused on geographical indication studies for new products. The MUTSO delegation, which entered the branding process for Ula Garlic, Muğla Bagel and Gökova Sesame, recorded the story of Gökova Sesame this time.
In the Çıtlık and Gökçe neighborhoods of Ula, the MUTSO delegation, meeting with the producers together with the Ula Chamber of Agriculture President Mehmet Kavasoğlu, recorded the distinctive features of Gökova Sesame, which is preferred for its color and high oil content, and the sewing process and cultivation details of Gökova Sesame. The MUTSO team, which will continue to record the 90-day process from planting to harvest in certain periods, will submit these records for evaluation during the Geographical Indication application process.
